IOCC Support Manager

Mission

IOCC Support Manager ensures an end-to-end, helicopter view on daily operations with special focus on irregularity management, builds the bridge between functional areas in respect of preparation for operations, monitoring of performance and enabling the continuous improvement process.

This role has a mandate to 1) Identity improvement priorities with regards to existing processes, systems and current organization and 2) Present recommendations to VP Operations Control, SteerCo’s and MBO, and 3) Manage assigned human resources and budgets to ensure implementation of projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Tasks

1. Project management of IRROPS Program:

* Completion of project deliverables initiated in Q1, 2018 (e.g. implement FACT24);

* Representation of Brussels Airlines in EW Group IRROPS project;

* Definition & implementation of additional project deliverables based on Ops continuous improvement process.

2. Operational support for pre-operations stage:

* Develop proactive operations scenarios for special circumstances (e.g. strikes, special charters);

* Define operational improvement priorities, and follow-up review and trouble-shooting process.

3. Operational support for post-operations review:

* Regular review of operational performance;

* Coordination within SN-EW on operational improvement initiatives;

* Management Information on status of operations (KPIs, measures, projects, costs etc.).

4. Deputy VP Operations Control

Profile

* Higher education in business engineering (master or MBA) or equivalent by work experience;

* 3 years of experience in projects/continuous improvement , preferably in airline and/or operational context;

* Certifications in project management/continuous improvement methodologies preferred;

* Leadership experience with direct or indirect reports preferred.

* English at a higher level is a minimum requirement (in writing and verbal);

* French, Dutch and German of advantage;

* Extensive knowledge of current Windows applications;

* Capable of fast familiarization with the used computer systems.

* Broad orientation, analytical thinking, helicopter view;

* Social skills allow delicate matters to be solved in a win-win situation;

* Team player;

* Open and supportive to change & improvements;

* Orientation to results and getting things done.
