Task Responsibilities:

  • carry out occurrence investigations
  • determine causes of occurrences
  • make effective safety recommendations
  • carry out safety audits and inspections
  • perform safety related training
  • contribute to safety promotion activities

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 5 years in a position within aviation maintenance activities
  • Experience or educations as Safety / Occurrence Investigator is considered as an advantage
  • Experience as a mechanic is considered as an advantage
  • Experience as B1 & B2 is considered as an advantage
  • Experience as CRS is considered as an advantage
  • Analytical
  • Inquisitive and a good listener, maintain impartiality, able to handle confidential matters
  • Ability to empathize and know your audience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels
  • Comfortable to work in an international team
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Methodical and organized way of working
  • Knowledge in EASA / EU Regulations, especially those related to Part 145, CAMO and DOI
  • Knowledge of Safety Management Principles and Practices
  • Dealing effectively with complexity and having good problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, other languages are a distinct advantage

Working Conditions:

  • Position based in Luxembourg
  • Occasional travel required within the entire Cargolux network
  • A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
