Infoscitex, a DCS company, has a Software Development Intern opportunity available with our Human Measurement and Signature Intelligence research team supporting our Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) clients at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Essential job functions:

As this Intern, you could expect to:

Participate within a software development team to design, develop, test and deploy assigned modeling and simulation development tasks.

Apply basic principles, theories and concepts to routine and standardized job tasks.

Exhibit capability to solve problems of moderate complexity.

Maintain personally developed software using team version control software within our computing environment.

Perform software component tests and system integration tests for adherence to specifications.

Apply software best practices (version control, documentation, etc.) for all developed and modified software.

Requirements:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Working toward completion of a BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical discipline with some Software Development experience, either experiential or classroom.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: eligible to attain a Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance.

Knowledgeable at developing in C/C++.

Familiarity with software development in the Visual Studio integrated development environment.

Ability to work well in team environments.

An ideal candidate may bring the following attributes, although these are not firm requirements for consideration:

Experience with any LINUX OS.

Experience developing with Java or C#. Experience with CMake.

Experience with software version control tools.

Knowledge and experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) environments (constructive and virtual) and/or Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) concepts.

Familiarity with modern military systems, both foreign and domestic.
