Description:
Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a opening to join our organization.
Day to Day:
The Engineering Intern will support the engineering staff with a variety of analytical and hands-on tasks in the design and development of gas turbine component for the Aerospace and Industrial industry.
Essential Duties:
* Assist the engineering staff with data input, creating spreadsheets, and supporting flow, thermal, and structural analysis
* Review and assist in writing of technical reports, specifications, procedures, and manuals
* Assist with turbine hardware inspections and various lab functions
* Support miscellaneous office functions
* Ensure group objectives are achieved
* Use CAD system ProEngineer and/or Nx (formerly Unigraphics)

Additional Information:
* Working towards a BSME or BSAE with a minimum 3.0 GPA
* Expected Graduation 2020 & 2021
* Ability to create spreadsheets and basic analytical calculations
* Read, write and understand specifications, manuals, procedures
* Work with mechanical tools, fixtures, and various hardware
* Technical background and quality oriented
* Thoughtful and effective communications skills
* Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, pi tape, etc
* Familiar with engineering drawings and procedures
* Cursory knowledge of general engineering practices
This position requires US citizenship or Green Card holder since duties and tasks may include the review and/or analysis of information and technical data subject to certain restrictions regarding export, use and disclosure including without limitation those included in the US Export Administration Regulations
