Job Description

The SMP Operations segment of PCC Airfoils consists of two manufacturing locations - Wickliffe and Eastlake, Ohio. SMP manufactures investment castings utilizing proprietary technology for use in aerospace and industrial gas turbine engines. Products and systems manufactured in these operations must meet extremely close tolerance limits and adhere to customer specifications. The operations are expanding due to sales volume increase and this provides unique opportunities for career growth and development:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist in the specification, installation, set-up, and calibration of instrumentation and related equipment, systems and processes. These include various Electronic, Thermal, Pneumatic, Vacuum, Hydraulic, Robotic, and Computer.
* Maintain and if necessary, repair existing instrumentation/electronic equipment used in the plant.
* In conjunction with Quality, Process Control, and/or Customer requests, routinely performs calibrations for all plant instrumentation.
* Keep accurate documentation of all repairs and calibrations.
* Maintain and develop necessary skills for the care and proper use of recording, indicating, and control instrumentation used in the plant.
* Assist and instruct others as required in the use and operation of plant instrumentation and related systems and equipment.
* Other Maintenance as may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must at least have A.S. Degree in Electronics or equivalent training from a technical school.
* Must have a minimum of 1 year of Electronics/Instrumentation experience.
* Must be capable of logically analyzing problems and functioning effectively with a minimum of supervision.
* Must be able to troubleshoot systems with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
