Description:

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a opening to join our Quality Assurnace organization.

Day to Day:

Perform difficult layout inspection procedures to inspect vendor materials, work in process, and finished manufactured products. Work form prints, specifications, general instructions and Quality Control procedures.

Visually inspect metal, rubber urethane, Teflon and composite parts looking for defects such as color, damage, scratches and voids. Use standards measuring and gauging set-ups or make adaptations to meet inspection requirements. Devise unusual measuring or gauging set ups. Set up part on surface place and use a wide variety of measuring devices including CMM, micrometers, verniers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators and pin gauges. Duties involve all levels of first piece, in process and final inspection according to established procedures. Measure dimensions as spelled out in process travelers, operations sheets, prints and sketches. Determine reasons for rejects and suggest disposition. Record inspection result and check that all certificates and other appropriate paperwork are with each lot. Work with source inspectors as required to demonstrating product acceptance or rejection. Coordinate with engineering as required.

Detect faulty operations and faulty material and report these and any other problems to immediate supervisor. Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area. Comply with all safety regulations. Wear necessary protective equipment as required.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Knowledge:

Use of advance trades mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings and all varieties of precision measuring instruments. Equivalent to a complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to 2-year technical college education.

Additional Information:

Over 3 years up to and including 5 years. Prior FAA related inspection experience is preferred (ex: Familiarity with Engine Manuals, 8130 Release Certificates, etc.).
