Responsibilities

The Insight Analyst turns business questions into actionable information. To facilitate this, the Insight Analyst has excellent business analytical skills with the ability to convert complex, often ambiguous, requirements into solid specifications and deliverables. A keen problem solver, the Insight Analyst is motivated to get to the core of a problem and tenacious when pursuing results. Able to apply critical thinking along with good numerical and statistical skills the analyst meets often demanding deadlines but is also comfortable at pushing back when required.

The insight analyst is skilled in tools including SQL, PowerBI , Excel and other data manipulation software. Managing day to day tasks with a high degree of autonomy the analyst turns complex data and questions into simple answers, presented to a high standard, in graphical or dashboard formats.

Negotiation is a key part of the role. Whether juggling deadlines or negotiating on deliverables the Insight Analyst is a confident communicator. The Insight Analyst takes pride in producing quality designs and documentation ranging from outline project plans to full specifications.

The insight analyst may develop to be an expert in one or more specific areas, ranging from aircraft teardown analysis to reviewing financial data or the delivery pipeline of repairs.

Working alongside the Product Manager and Product Owner(s) the Insight analyst supplies the business with information which leads to change and drives efficiencies or provides insight into new commercial investments. The Insight Analyst manages their own time to support demand across multiple senior stakeholders, requiring a focus on the tone of communications and the ability to steer business stakeholders around complicated problems and datasets.

This position reports into the Head of Business intelligence and takes direction from the Product Manager/Owner(s).
