Job Description

Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud)

* Contribute in the analysis, design, testing, documentation, standardization, implementation/configuration and support of all infrastructure environments

* Responsible to be the hands-on subject matter expert for dev ops and automation in an public/private cloud environment

* Responsible for monitoring and performance of different technology stacks or container orchestration platforms

* Optimize services to achieve enhancements in performance, capacity and availability while simultaneously achieving cost optimization

* Work closely with Application Development and Security teams to formalize and implement a framework around security in the Cloud. Support the growth of the business by enabling business strategies and continuous improvement of security practices

* Contribute to the definition of server/storage/desktop/cloud architecture and security patterns

* Leads or participates in projects and meets established budgets and timelines

* Proficient with implementation of public and private cloud infrastructure environments utilizing industry standards and best practices

* Ensure solutions are designed for scalability, security and supportability

* Keep skills current, eager to learn and stay close to technology trends within assigned portfolio

* Adhere to, promote and advance SCA Security Policy, Standards, and Procedures

* Required to strictly follow established ITIL repeatable processes – Incident Management, Change Management, Event Management, Problem Management (including Root Cause Analysis)

Required Skills

* Experience with design and configuration of Cloud Services (Azure, AWS)

* Proficient experience to perform cloud operations tasks, such as increasing volume sizes, or upgrading deployments, with little to no down time

* Serving as a hands-on subject matter expert for DevOps and Automation in an Azure infrastructure environment

* Proficient knowledge of virtualization, containers, and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)

* Experience working with web development frameworks and design patterns

* Work closely with Application Development and Security teams to formalize and implement a framework around security in the Cloud.

* Develop cloud migration paths for existing on-premise systems

Required Experience

* 2+ years experience with AWS/Azure cloud management, integration and instrumentation

* 2+ years automation tools experience (PowerShell, Python)

* 3+years’ experience in Server Infrastructure with at least 2+ years as Administrator

* Positive, collaborative attitude focused on team success

* Excellent communications and interpersonal skills required

* Experience with Microsoft tools: SCOM, SCCM, etc.

* A mindset of continual learning and growth
