Industrial Engineering Intern

The Customer Planning and Analysis team provides financial, analytical and industrial engineering support to our airport locations across the world. Our goal is to maximize productivity and efficiency while providing optimal customer service.

Responsibilities:

* Perform time and motion studies and analyze results to make recommendations to change standards and processes

* Develop solutions to maximize passenger and baggage throughput at all phases of the customer journey including but not limited to airport check-in, security, boarding, and flight connections

* Evaluate the financial implications of strategic projects such as capital expenditures and process and technology changes

* Complete ad-hoc projects and analyses as assigned

* Work closely with the full-time Industrial Engineering team on various projects and analyses

Job Qualifications

* Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering or similar field

* Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software, including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

* Strong leadership and organizational skills

* Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving

* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization

* Ability to work effectively, meet deadlines, and shift priorities appropriately in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with great attention to detail

* Able to work independently with minimal supervision

* Must be willing to travel on company business up to 50% of the time

* Hours of operation are typically Monday-Friday with occasional extended hours outside of the regularly scheduled shift

* Experience with SQL and simulation software is a plus
