Primary Purpose of Role:
* To uphold the Marshall Values.
* To follow and feedback into the ILS Processes.
* To plan and manage a project from an ILS perspective through the CADMID life cycle.
* To provide evidence and progressive assurance through the development and delivery of Supportability Case (SC) & Supportability Analysis (SA).
* To have significant influence on the design to optimise Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) and mitigate risks.
* To tailor the support strategy to achieve the most productive and cost effective support posture.
* Manage, monitor, evaluate and prove performance of projects from a Logistical and Engineering perspective.
* To attend and where appropriate chair ILS meetings through-out the CADMID Life Cycle.
* To provide and implement a bespoke support strategy for the following ILS disciplines PHS&T, Supply & Support, Obsolescence, Facilities and Disposal.
* To manage Technical Publication activities, Commercial & Military through the design, manufacture, test and delivery process ensuring that customer requirements are met.
* Undertake validation and verification of publications against the hardware and ensure all warnings and cautions with any HF impacts as identified within Safety and Hazard logs are captured
* To work to the standards specified within the requirements.

Job Description
* The ILS Engineer should report into Lead ILS Engineer whilst ensuring the Projects and Customer Support Managers are assisted in all matters relating to ILS.
* The ILS Engineer will often have regular contact with sub-contractors and the customer to provide ILS support to provide guidance from a technical standpoint to ensure compliance of the overall system.

Qualifications and Skills required for the role:
* Use computer packages e.g. Word, Excel & Microsoft Project. Good written and verbal communication to clearly express views and ideas. Ability to interact with all levels of staff both internally and externally.
* Knowledge of different kinds of military systems and ILS disciplines and use of related ILS software (Relex, Simlock & Opus 10)
* Engineering Degree or relevant experience.

Experience required for the role:
* 2 years Integrated Logistic Support and Technical Authoring experience is required, preferable on military projects, augmented by budget and project control experience
