Responsible for researching, analyzing, evaluating and administering benefit plans and programs; Monitoring benefits trends and staying abreast of applicable benefits
legislation; Interpreting related policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements, insurance contracts, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Department of Labor (DOL) regulations, The Americans with Disabilities
Act (ADA), Workers’ Compensation laws and statutes and FMLA/LOA rules and regulations; monitoring, analyzing, and recommending compliance actions for new and evolving benefit legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

· Administer various employee benefits programs such as group, life, medical and dental, accident and disability,
insurance, workers’ compensation and FMLA/Leave of Absence.

· Regularly audits to ensure employees’ benefits, status, schedules, and pay are updated.

· Communicate the employee benefits programs to all team members.

· Process terminations, changes in beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims.

· Assist in determining employee eligibility and communicate with team for timely processing.

· Respond to benefits related inquiries.

· Assist in the administration of Workers Compensation claims monitoring, report generation, and communication
with employees, managers, insurance carriers, medical personnel and lawyers.

· Prepare and maintain bi-weekly and semi-monthly employee Short Term Disability pay.

Required skills/experience:

· Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.

· Minimum of 1+ years of related work experience in benefits administration, specifically with workers’ compensation
claims administration, FMLA claims administration, health coverage and enrollment processing.

· Experience in interpreting medical/dental plan provisions.

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Must have experience with standardized HRIS systems (UltiPro preferred) and administering benefits for an employee
base of 4,000 or more.

· Experience dealing with unionized workforces and collective bargaining agreements preferred.

· Must be customer driven and willing to answer all team members’ questions pertaining to health benefit plans,
ancillary benefit plans, retirement plans, workers’ compensation and FMLA/LOA.

· Must be able to create communication materials such as presentations and information packages and present benefits
information at all Company new hire orientations.

· Must be detailed oriented and possess a drive for perfection in design and execution.
