Southwest Airlines wants to equip high school students with knowledge in aviation and real world experience. This is a great opportunity to grow as an individual and be a part of the Fun-LUVing Culture Southwest Airlines is known for.

Interview Process will include the following:

* Resume Review
* Upload Documents

* High School Transcript (official or unofficial)
* One letter of recommendation (non-family member)
* In-person interview

If selected for an interview, candidates will be directed to upload their transcript and letter of recommendation to their profile. Selected candidates will be scheduled to have in-person interviews at the Southwest Airlines People Office (Atlanta Corporate Center 5230 Clipper Drive Atlanta, GA 30349) on April 27, 2019 between the hours of 9am and 2pm. Please make it a priority to attend the interview session.

Below are the internship opportunities for this summer. The tasks included, but are not limited to:

Inflight Operations: Help support Base Management and deliver outstanding hospitality by providing administrative support to the Inflight Employees. Assist Flight Attendants, Supervisors and Base Management with any duties to coordinate overall Base functions and departmental administrative functions as assigned.

* Answer calls and provide assistance to callers, provide computer support for all Inflight Base computers and copiers, maintain Employee recognition activities/events, ensure Flight Attendant lounge presents a neat and tidy appearance at all times, stock and inventory all Company related forms and documents to ensure availability.

* This position is located at Atlanta International Airport 6000 N Terminal Pkwy Atlanta, GA 30320

Customer Support & Services: Provide legendary Customer Service by effectively communicate with Customers via telephone and electronic channels regarding booking reservations, selling tickets, and related issues.

Data entry, answer telephones, Power Point presentations, update trackers, create and participate in Culture activities, filing, printing projects, mail and delivery pickup, shipping and receiving, provide communication through various channels.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* Southwest Airlines will consider your interest for the High School Intern position if you are currently a resident of the Atlanta area
* To participate in this internship, you must be 16 years old by June 10, 2019
* Currently enrolled in high school as a Sophomore or Junior status
* Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above preferred
* Must be able to provide your own transportation to/from Southwest Airlines offices noted in the job description above
* In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire
* Airport position candidates must be able to provide required documentation to obtain a security badge

Additional Qualifications:

* Classroom experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred
* Strong written/verbal communications skills
* Prior work experience, extracurricular activities, and Leadership experience preferred
* Quick learner, self-motivated, organized, team-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a sense of humor

Time Commitment & Pay:

* Inflight Operations: Part-time - 20 to 30 hours per week
* Customer Support & Services: Part-time - 15 hours per week
* $10.15 per hour
