We are seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager to lead a team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers developing our next generation of flight simulators.
The Hardware Engineering Manager will oversee Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering functions within the Engineering department. The position will be responsible for developing design and documentation standards, hardware engineering processes, and processes for handoff to the production department. They will be responsible for resource planning within the hardware engineering function to meet schedule commitments.
Responsibilities

Manage staff task assignments for projects and monitor completion
*
Provide team development, management, and personnel reviews
*
Hire staff for group
*
Develop and implement hardware design and documentation standards
*
Analyze hardware requirements and scope effort for potential projects
*
Conduct technical reviews within department to ensure projects are on track and on target
*
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* BS or MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Minimum 5 yrs experience in hardware design
* Experience with SolidWorks
* Strong communication skills - interpersonal, oral and written
