Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop testing methodologies and product documentation for digital and RF board designs.

· Design and develop tools, test boards, and fixtures used in test

· Influence development teams to design for test

· Evaluate hardware designs for testability

· Participate in hardware design reviews

· Investigate board level issues found during manufacturing test

· Support and develop good manufacturing test processes

· Troubleshoot production hardware in the lab using RF, analog, and digital test equipment

· Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures

· Perform other duties as required

· Obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the job

Skills and Knowledge:

· Experience with digital board test for low voltage, high speed, highly integrated circuits.

· Experience with RF board test with a thorough understanding of RF design principles

· Experience with commercial tools such as JTAG/boundary scans or others

· FPGA programming and tools

· Embedded microcontrollers and associated interfacing (I2C, SPI, UART, USB)

· ADC/DAC implementation and interfaces

Preferred:

· Familiarity with embedded Linux system configuration and operation

· Firmware for real-time hardware and software, including skills in C/C++

· Scripting languages such as Python

· Knowledge of data analysis for signal processing, including processing data sets for algorithm/application performance

· Knowledge of electromagnetics for antenna design and test

· Knowledge of power supply chargers, switchers and linear regulation

· Ability to work independently as well as on a team

You’ll Bring These Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Preferred Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

7+ Years of experience
