Group IT Finance Manager Jetstar

* 12-month fixed-term role

Our Group Financial Planning and Reporting Team is looking to recruit an experienced Group IT Finance Manager to support the Group IT Function establish a governance and reporting framework. The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with the IT business leaders to develop and lead improvements in the financial rigour of IT investment as well as bringing clarity and consistency to the Jetstar Branded Airline service charge model.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Group Financial Planning & Analysis your main accountabilities will include:
• Partnering with the Group IT function, providing appropriate granularity of financial metrics and ensure timely visibility and escalation of budget/forecast variances
• Responsible for all financial reporting to IT Management team (i.e. BUR reporting), Group FP&A and key liaison with Qantas IT on Group initiatives and reporting
• Develop the annual budget including generation of cost saving initiatives
• Supporting the IT leaders in the development of Project/Business Cases and providing a financial lens to on-going project performance
• Build and implement a management reporting framework
• Improve the financial oversight and analysis of IT investment
• Provide validation of cost saving delivery to target
• Act as an effective conduit between Group IT and the individual Jetstar Branded Airlines to ensure service charges are justifiable and value adding

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:
• Degree in business/finance/commerce preferred
• Postgraduate accounting qualification CA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent
• Proven business partnering skills and evidence of providing insights that support and influence business decisions
• Extensive experience in effective budgeting, management reporting and analysis
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with multiple departments at various levels across the Asia Pacific region
• Well-developed attention to detail with the ability to identify key focus area’s in financial planning
• Strong commercial acumen
• Effective at being able to turn a working brief into an implementation plan aligned with key stakeholders and independently can deliver outcomes
• Ability to manage stakeholder needs, with capability to communicate complex financials with clarity and simplicity
• Experienced in bringing a structured approach to a complex business area
• A positive, can do attitude is essential to success in this role
