Zenon Aviation have been commissioned by a leading UK based Airline to source a Ground Operations Contract Manager for their operation in East Midlands. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for all ground operations performed at various airports and will be the nominated Post Holder for the airline.

Responsibilities: 

•    Assume the position of Ground Operations Post holder as required by EASA Ops
•    Ensure that all potential new suppliers of external handling demonstrate a robust policy with regard to health and safety, training and monitoring of operations with respect to safety, security and service
•    Ensuring that providers are compliant with all applicable safety and security requirements, whilst providing the highest standards of service at commercially competitive rates
•    Liaise with all operational departments to ensure a smooth and safe transition when a change of handling agent is implemented or a new station opened
•    The compilation and monitoring of budgets for external ground handling
•    Work in conjunction with the Head of Operations Control Centre to implement new operational procedures that constitute material changes to contractual agreements
•    Maintaining, updating and reviewing reference manuals
•    Ensuring changes to relevant industry regulations and standards are incorporated into procedural manuals and liaising with the Compliance, Safety & Security Departments with regards to changes to audit checklists
•    Monitoring of self-auditing activity being conducted by individual line managers
•    Monitoring and auditing of computerized load sheets
•    In co-operation with Airport Services Manager ensuring adherence of third party contractors with standards and procedures in compliance with EU-OPS/IOSA requirements
•    Liaison on dangerous goods/security matters
•    Conducting of airport service risk assessments and supporting management in the conducting of incident investigation
•    Ensuring weight and balance and aircraft loading activities and the associated documentation are performed in accordance with company and regulatory requirements and by competent staff
•    Manage Controllable delays and meet punctuality and performance targets
•    Ensure the existence of the necessary facilities, workspace, equipment and supporting services, as well as the work environment, to satisfy ground handling operational safety and security requirements

Skills and experience required: 

•    Be acceptable to the CAA as the Form 4 holder for this position
•    Experience and knowledge of standards and procedures in compliance with EU-OPS/IOSA requirements
•    Current relationships or previous experience in dealing directly with handling agents
•    Proven success leading an Operational business unit
