Description

1.

Performs a number of duties to assemble, bond, and rework a variety of graphite assemblies in accordance with shop routers, oral and written instructions, and simple drawings. May be required to work under the guidance of higher graded operators.

- Bonds and assembles graphite and sheet metal details using assembly jigs with the use of rivets, fasteners, screws, and liquid adhesive.

- Uses standard methods to lay up graphite parts.

- Prepares graphite parts for painting by sanding and finishing parts to an even and smooth surface.

- Loads and unloads graphite assemblies in oven and cures to bonding specifications.

- Responsible for ensuring parts meet quality specifications and requirements.

Uses small hand tools, sanders, rivet guns, drills, gauges, and other measuring instruments.

Responsible only for own work.

4.

Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Requires a High School degree or equivalent. May require the use of simple arithmetic, simple drawings and measuring instruments
