Description:Lockheed Martin Procerus Technologies (LMPT) is a leader in developing and producing world-class avionics and payload technologies for small group 1 unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), centered around the Indago quadcopter. LMPT is seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC) engineer to continue to grow the capabilities of our Kestrel autopilot. Our ideal candidate will have experience with flight control design and optimization, as well as experience with Kalman Filter design and navigation algorithms. This candidate should also have experience with embedded C/C++ programming.

Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science plus relevant work experience.
- Experience with flight control algorithm design and optimization, preferably UAS.
- Experience with guidance and navigation algorithms.
- Experience with Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) design and optimization.
- Experience with GPS-aided inertial navigation.
- C/C++ software development experience including software design methodology.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Vision-aided UAS guidance experience.
- Hands-on experience directly working with UAS systems.
- Experience with guidance and navigation algorithms for Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) and/or fixed wing vehicles.
- Vision-aided UAS guidance experience.
- Embedded/low-level programming and debugging experience and skills
- Experience leading small teams
