Job Description
CACI is seeking a General Engineer to support our government customer located in Springfield, VA.
What You’ll Get to Do:
* Support military product office by working independently and successfully managing discrete technical projects and resolving difficult problems
* Performs fundamental engineering duties in preliminary designs, performing tests, taking measurements and performing system analyses or simulations
* Applies standard practices and techniques in specific engineering assignments
* Apply a broad understanding of energy, power and power distribution to develop or solve technical problems
* Prepares data and documentation when applicable
* Instructs, as required, engineering technicians
* Serve as an active participant or lead for technical teams with an ability to delegate tasks and review peer/subordinate work product
* May be required to perform duties associated with Logistical, Mechanical, Production and/or Value Engineering
* Provide expert technical expertise across the product lifecycle for the full line of military power generation and distribution systems to include: generators (500W to 1MW and hybrid power systems), distribution (including microgrids), integration with utility grids, and efficient shelter and environmental control systems
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
* Active Secret Clearance
* Demonstrated communications skills and an ability to influence stakeholders regarding technical design, solutions, and procedures
* Must have the technical background and skills to perform in all phases of hardware design, development, and documentation
* Proven ability to work independently and accomplish projects or processes on schedule
* University Degree (BS in electrical engineering or related technical discipline) and 5 years of related work experience
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
* Experience working in military product, project or program office is preferred. Demonstrated experience supporting power generation or power distribution is desired
