Functional Electronics Inspector

Moog’s high-performance systems control military and commercial aircraft, satellites and space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles, industrial machinery, wind energy, marine applications, and medical equipment.

Our Aircraft Group is seeking a Functional Electronics Inspector!

In this role, you’ll be responsible for and capable of the evaluation of purchased hardware and outside supplier processing through dimensional and visual inspection of electronic components, subassemblies and assemblies.

You will take precaution against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and will perform inspection to a set of industry standards such as: IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 and IPC-WHMA-A-620. The inspector will also review and approve supplier submissions of AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports.

Additional responsibilities include…

· Detailing and documenting hardware conformances using TIPQA software

· Initiating discussions with Buyers, Product Engineers, Quality Engineers, suppliers, etc., to resolve issues as they relate to nonconforming hardware, documentation, etc.

· Maintaining electronic storage of supplier documentation

To qualify for the opportunity, you must have…

· A High School Diploma or equivalent

· 3-5 years in electronics assembly and/or inspection

· Over one year working in an ESD environment

· Demonstrated comfort using computers and business systems

· IPC-A-610 certification with J-STD-001 and IPC-WHMA-A-620 a plus

** Second shift candidates will be expected to be able to accommodate first shift work hours until the required certifications are obtained. **
