This Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) a PRIME contract is seeking an Full-stack (70% back-end / 30% front-end) Software Engineer to join their software development team that provides application development and support to tools that provide disseminatable data to be conveyed at the absolute first point of relevance, allowing mission analytic users to view the data or contribute new information in a collaborative environment.
API Software Engineer Duties Include: Provide API software development and technical services to support the Analytic and Engagement Applications
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
Develop services for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
Analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
Debugging existing software and correcting defects
Designing and writing new software or modify existing software to add new features.
Integrating existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
Writing or reviewing software system documentation
Desired Experience: Technical experience with:
o NGINX running behind HAProxy
o Python (middle tier)
o Django Framework
o Django REST Framework
o Experience with relational databases for Python backend and Django such as Postgres, SQL etc.
o Experience with Linux, particularly CentOS
o Version control and continuous integration tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible
o Search indexing with Elasticsearch
o Developing applications that are 508 compliant
o Experience with consuming and writing web services
o Experience with generating technical documentation
o Experience with writing Linux based scripts for code integration and cron jobs using Bourne Shell, C, or Python and work in a command line environment
o Experience working in an Agile software development environment
o Experience managing software code using Git & MAVEN
o Experience using with Jira and Confluence
Required Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
CLEARANCE:
