What the role is:
Main responsibility will be to collate, review and input menu product, recipe and component information in to the company food costing data base. This will involve working and communicating with the development chefs and procurement department as well as the local facility chefs, account managers and sales team. Attention to detail, basic food and product knowledge and the ability to meet target deadlines is essential to be able to meet both customer and company expectations. The role is a 1 year fixed term contract maternity cover.
What you’ll be doing:

Collate, present and distribute all contractual menu information in a timely and professional manner
*
Produce and maintain the commercial planner ensuring target dates are agreed and any variances documented
*
Ensure all costing data, specifications and pricing information is updated and maintained as required
*
To ensure that the menu readiness document is updated on a regular basis and that the unit managers are kept informed of any deviations or delays to confirmed processes and time frames
*
Participate in the menu presentation process preparing any pre presentation menu costs and specifications, supporting the Development Chef/Sales/Commercial Manager during the presentation with detailed note taking ensuring any changes are recorded and captured including alterations to recipes and meal components. Photography of agreed meals.

Complete and maintain loading ratio grids in compliance with airline requirements ensuring any change is implemented with consideration to business processes whilst also satisfying the airlines request

Support unit teams on a day to day basis using airline account expertise and system knowledge to investigate/resolve queries whilst maintaining accurate data in line with agreements
*
Support the unit before and during menu changes; including attendance at start up meetings and assisting with product/specification queries
*
Obtain and action specific airline requirements by use of airline dedicated websites
*
Be accountable for the maintenance of a clean and accurate data system at all times

Support the labour process
What you’ll have:
*
A good understanding of food and food production methods
*
Possess financial awareness and understanding of pricing policies including food cost and labour values
*
Possess commercial and contractual awareness
*
Strong IT skills; experience of Microsoft Access, Excel Office, Word
*
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*
Flexibility to travel and undertake work across ourother regional sites within the UK
*
Possess a high level of analytical and numerical skills
*
Be enthusiastic, self motivated, proactive and persuasive
