Loganair, is a leading European Regional Airline operating a comprehensive network of scheduled and charter flights within the United Kingdom, Ireland and Norway. Our fleet consists of 29 aircraft: Saab 340 & 2000, Dornier 328, Twin Otter and BN-2 Islanders.

Applications are invited from individuals who have a genuine passion for training, for the key position of Flight Training Manager. The successful candidate will have a strong background in crew training and development and will be the key catalyst in pilots realizing their full professional potential. In so doing, this will contribute to enhanced job satisfaction and a culture within Flight Operations of excellent standards and continual personal development.

The role is open to pilots who hold or have held an ATPL (A) and TRI (A).

The Flight Training Manager reports to the Chief Operations Officer. This is a challenging and highly rewarding role, ensuring that our 200 pilots remain compliant, operate confidently and safely using industry best practice. The Flight Training Manager is the nominated person, responsible to the Accountable Manager and acceptable to the Civil Aviation Authority for Crew Training and the Loganair ATO.

The Flight Training Manager must have:

• A strong desire to maintain and enhance our already high quality of Flight Crew training;

• A thorough appreciation of the legislative structure of both EASA and the UK Civil Aviation Authority, a strong understanding of the Regulations and processes laid down by these regulatory bodies and their applicability to Loganair Flight and Cabin Crew training;

• The ability to be, not only an effective leader, but to work as part of a team to achieve goals;

• A willingness to contribute and a determination to promote safe and efficient airline operations through effective training;

• The confidence, ability and flexibility to work independently and without supervision on flight training projects within defined timelines;

• Excellence in motivation, prioritisation, communication and administration; and

• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
