Flight Operations Support Officer

Following an internal promotion, we are seeking a highly organised individual to join our busy Flight Operations Department, to support the diverse planning of our day to day operations for pilots and cabin crew – as well as co-ordinating the progress of our long-term objectives. You will report to the Director of Flight Operations and work closely with the management team and wider business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordination of Flight Deck Recruitment and Succession Planning and working closely with the Chief Pilot and People Services, as well as third party organisations.

  • Produce statistical and management information for the Director of Flight Operations to assist in maintaining establishment levels and informing the Training Plan, in association with the Head of Training and Flight Ops Management team.

  • Ensure co ordination of booking initial courses and recurrent courses is completed by liaising with the Flight Crew Training Administrator & Co-ordinator and the training department to ensure rooms are booked to conduct the training and all external courses such as wet drills, fire training is covered.

  • Maintain and Update  the following Flight Operations Management documents:

    • Base bidding and Seniority List.

    • First Officer Tracker.

    • Base Crewing requirements spreadsheet.

    • CARA Restricted Captains spreadsheet.

    • Flight Operations Manning Roadmap PowerPoint presentation.

       

  • Organise departmental and committee meetings; preparing agenda’s; taking minutes and co-ordinating action trackers.

  •  Manage and maintain the Daily Resource Plan and Pilot flying information.

  • Liaising with the Head of Safety, Security and Compliance to ensure regulatory requirements are maintained in line with the UK CAA Single Consolidated Direction regarding aviation security.

  • Supervise the Flight Operations Administrator in the raising, issuing and renewal of security pass’s and relevant car park passes, to include a quarterly in house Audit of security files for compliance.

  • Update Mybmi [HR System] with leaver’s company items have been returned and cleared. 

  • Co-ordinate Flight Operations Department information for communication briefs and newsletters.

     

  • Management and co ordination of Flight Deck Appraisals conducted by Director of Flight Operations and Chief Pilot.

     

  • Management of Flight Operations electronic systems and data.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday [37.5hrs] working 09:00 to 17:00 hrs.

NB: May require some flexibility to attend evening meetings and some occasional travel with overnight stays.
