Activities:

* Support the development, specification, V&V and in service support activities in the perimeter of the flight management system.

* Collaborate with the design teams to develop specifications of new standards of the FMS.

* Actively work with the system designers, the lab testing teams during the V&V campaigns of the system across multiple aircraft programs.

* Understand, analyse the system design, respond to system related technical queries (in service occurences, observations, etc.) raised by the customers (airlines, other system design offices, simulator manufacturers, etc.) in a timely manner (for eg. very short lead times for AOG situations)

* Analysis of the in-service queries to identify potential impact (airworthiness, reliability, cost, etc.), launching the necessary actions to identify the root causes and following up on the corrective actions or product development by the design offices or suppliers.

* Attend techincal meetings with different stakeholders (customer services teams, system designers, suppliers, etc.)

* Providing Engineering support to other Customer Services departments, ensuring transfer of in-service experience and maintenance activities to the management, to other divisions of Customer Services and Airbus design organisation including vendors.

* Contribute to the simulation product development roadmap, support MBSE initiatives and seek new business opportunities.

* Ensure support for integration of the model/prototype on different simulation platforms to facilitate pilot-in-the-loop evaluations.

Required Education:

B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.E., with experience in the aerospace industry.

Required skills and expertise:

* Extensive background in development, system engineering, V&V of the Flight management system

* Good knowledge of performance predictions, guidance and other functions of the FMS

* Ability to lead projects and innovation initiatives

* Knowledge of basic aircraft mechanics

* Meteorological skills (atmosphere, ISA, etc.)

* Experience in simulation and modelling (Matlab, Simulink,)

* Strong knowledge of processes, standards and system engineering norms

* Strong project management skills, good decision making ability

* Ability to work on multiple critical programs in parallel, stakeholder management

* Strong inter-personal and communication skills

* Flexibility and adaptability

* Ability to work well in a team environment
