A great new opportunity to join the Lockheed Martin Australia team in Williamtown, NSW, as a Flight Instructor Senior Staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the F-35.

The instructor will primarily operate Instructor Operating Station (IOS) and will be an SME supporting pilot training and tactics development, as well as recommendations for courseware updates.

Some of the key activities you will undertake are:

* Maintain weapons system expertise.
* Provide instruction using the Full Mission Simulator (FMS) and/or Deployable Mission Rehearsal Trainer (DMRT).
* Work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin team at dedicated training sites to fulfil F-35 training and continuation training objectives.
* Prepare classrooms or briefing rooms for instruction before the scheduled lesson or aircrew training device mission.
* Clean up classrooms or briefing rooms, returning them to the pre-class or pre-mission condition.
* Support lesson plan and mission guide revision efforts.
* Support aircrew training device scenario design and programming efforts when directed by the Lead Instructor.
* Coordinate recommended corrective action and remedial training with the Lead Instructor and active duty supervisors. Conduct training as required.
* Conduct student academic evaluations IAW applicable syllabi and correct to 100% by reviewing incorrect responses with students.
* Coordinate lesson revision inputs with the Lead Instructor, other CIPs and Courseware staff in Training System Support Centre/s, if required.
* Provide Force Application support services, including support to exercises, operational deployment, doctrine development, Operational Test & Evaluation, Operational Airworthiness and Aviation Risk Management, as scheduled (when on contract).

About you:

You will have:
* Minimum Royal Australian Air Force Category B Qualified Flying Instructor, Operational Flying Instructor or Fighter Combat Instructor or United States Air Force equivalent, on fourth and/or fifth generation front line fighter aircraft.
* Minimum of 1500 hours Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth generation fighter aircraft essential.
* Been considered an expert, authority in discipline.
* Experience in Formal Training Unit (FTU), Replacement Squadron (FRS) or Operational Instructor Pilot (IP).
Experience in flying F-22 or F-35 is highly desirable. Experience in combat operations on a fourth or fifth generation fighter aircraft or with advanced sensors, such as an advanced targeting pod or a helmet-mounted display is advantageous.

Special Requirements:

Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens, required to hold CoA NV1 clearance and to be eligible to hold & maintain CoA PV clearance. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
