About the role
As one of our Flight Packers at our London Heathrow Airport, UK Airports Airport operation, you will be part of a team responsible for packing food items into carts, canisters and ovens whilst checking for quantity and quality in our new Dynamic Logistic Centre. You will be also responsible for sealing food carts and canisters to strict specifications as required, and with a strong focus on quality and consistency whilst working to tight deadlines.
Each day will be different as you may be working on different customer assignments. You will be working in a chilled environment and will be provided with the appropriate equipment and clothing.
This role is a flexi contract whereby you will be required to work at such times and for such periods as may be applicable to each assignment, including early and late shifts. Whilst on shift you will receive free meals.
About you
To be a successful Flight Packer, you must have flexible and enthusiastic approach to work and enjoy working as part of team in a fast-moving environment where deadlines are tight to ensure that flights depart on time.
You must also maintain a clean and safe workstation, working in a manner that promotes good health and safety practices and be prepared to wear any personal protective equipment provided.
The nature of the role requires a lot of lifting, bending and stretching. Basic Numerical and checking skills are essential for this role and will be tested for at interview stage.
Before you can commence employment and to comply with both Civil Aviation Authority and local airport authority regulations; we will carry out a full 5-year background and criminal records check (where applicable) on all successful applicants which can take up to 4 weeks to complete.
