We are a dynamically growing company in the Air Chartering business with a diverse fleet operating on a world-wide level.  Air X Charter is an international company offering exposure to various markets and jurisdictions from around the world. 

As part of this exciting new period for the company we are looking for a Flight Engineer.

Role

Reporting to the Nominated Person for Continued Airworthiness, the Flight Engineer shall be responsible for Monitor aircraft systems, including engines and other critical flight systems. Diagnose and rectify or eliminate problems that may arise.  Monitors and adjusts fuel, pressurisation and air conditioning, hydraulic, electrics, ice and rain protection, oxygen, fire and overheat protection, and powered flying controls.

 

Duties

·  Monitor aircraft systems, including engines and other critical flight systems.

·  Diagnose and rectify or eliminate problems as they arise.

·  Control all aspects of aircraft maintenance on board, inclusive of good aircraft husbandry.

·  Assist CAMO with the preparation and revision of the MEL.

·  Plan future maintenance and rectification actions in conjunction with CAMO and MRO’S including liaison with logistics to plan parts and material supply.

·  Access to Airbus World to monitor relevant updates AD’S and SB’s.

·  Access the Company’s intranet and IQSMS as may be necessary to read and download documentation necessary for ongoing training and operation.

·  Review Aircraft Technical log book and SAFA Reports to plan any rectification actions required.

·  Review all Deferred defect records and cabin defect logs to arrange and plan future rectification actions.

·  Ensure all maintenance paperwork is sent to the Camo department on a daily basis, sending such documentation as a copy of the TLP, DDR record and Cabin Defect records.

·  Carry out Pre-flight, daily and weekly checks.

·  Control of all aircraft Flight Kit and tooling on board.

 

Requirements

 

·  Must hold an EASA B1 and / or B2 license.

·  Must have current type rating on two out of the below types:

-           A340

-          Lineage 1000/EMB  190

-          737 Classic

 

·  Additional approvals for B737CL-NG would be advantageous.

·  High awareness of Safety and procedures.

·  Strong Leadership skills.

·  Self-motivated and progressive.

·  Effective and good English speaking and written communication skills.

·  Must be able to work at various bases including frequent travel and Flying Spanner duties.

·  Current on EWIS, Human Factors and Fuel Tank Safety.

·  Valid Passport and driving license.

·  Valid continuation training.
