JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Standby cover; introduction to the team of engineers providing the operation with 24/7 Part 21 and technical support. Based on a roster, available to provide standby cover, typically 1 week in 6. Effective use of skills and resource to return aircraft to service with the minimum of delay
Part 21 design organisation; successful introduction to the organisation and compilation of design data to the required standard
Repair approvals; management of repair approvals, ensuring that repairs are carried out using data approved by the Agency (EASA) or by an approved Part 21 design organisation. Management and analysis of damage reports received from the Part 145 organisation, recording of data on AMOS computer system
Repair continuing airworthiness; identification of Structural Repair Inspections derived from SRM or case specific repair approval and assignment using the AMOS system
Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA); performing necessary investigations and analysis to identify any benefit from a proposed change to type design. Presentation of findings to Management
Airworthiness Directives; identify AD applicability and ensure compliance within prescribed limitation, assignment of any remedial actions
Service Bulletins; technical and commercial analysis, identification of fleet applicability, technical data and performing investigations as required to determine most beneficial course of action
Communications; liaison and correspondence with type-certificate holders, supplemental type-certificate holders and third party design organisations on a technical and commercial level
Fleet reliability; support Fleet Reliability Engineering by performing investigations into technical issues adversely affecting technical reliability, reporting back in a concise and timely manner with suggested corrective actions

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
Candidates will have a professional aircraft engineering qualification (e.g. degree, HNC) and/or have successfully completed an aircraft engineering apprenticeship
You will be of a character that can integrate and become part a team of specialists, sharing knowledge and skills, meeting your individual and contributing to the team?s objectives
You will be willing to provide standby cover for the easyJet operation, which will involve being contactable and available to work out of normal office hours and at short notice, including night, weekends and public holidays
You will have demonstrable experience within an organisation performing design activities under Part 21 or continued airworthiness management under Part M. A combination of experience will be considered an advantage
Candidates will have a detailed understanding of the regulatory structure, and regulatory and airworthiness requirements
