Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.

This position is responsible for the operation of an automated application system, the operation of curing furnaces, manual coating of carbon disks with oxidation inhibitor, and the riveting of hardware to carbon disks.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Read assembly prints to determine appropriate requirements for material
* Set up work stations with appropriate equipment to apply inhibitor manually using various tools (rollers, brushes, etc.) to designated areas only Startup of automated equipment to apply oxidation Inhibitor
* Operation of Furnace (start-up, shutdown, alarm response)
* Riveting using automated riveting equipment
* Ability to read calipers, compare to specifications, and respond
* Comply with all instructions, SOPs, EIs, etc. and insure all policies and procedures are followed
* Comply with all Carbon Products EH&S policies and procedures, including personal protective equipment, housekeeping standards, and EH&S training requirements
* Acquire proficiency in the use of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) to enter data at corresponding steps of the fabrication process
* Participate in and support Continuous Improvement initiatives and submit Kaizens with ideas and suggestions to reduce variance and improve daily operations
* Participate in departmental communication meetings Forklift and Big Joe Certification Lock-Out/Tag-Out of Finishing equipment

Qualification:

* Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Education:

* HS Diploma or GED required
