Field Service Engineers

STS Technical Services is hiring Field Service Engineers in Dodge Center, Minnesota!

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for working closely with our sales team to deliver products post PDI through commissioning. You will also use your expertise in the field to drive revenue for parts, sales and post warranty service.

What You’ll Be Doing:

* Collaborate with Sales Director to jointly develop initiatives for customer satisfaction post sales activity

* Maintain adequate parts supply storage for parts replacement needs

* Conducts PDI and Commissioning post-delivery

* Secure customer acceptance sign off needed for revenue recognition

* Provide demonstrations to customers and product training to customers as required

* Work with dealer/customer warranty departments to resolve field problems

* Act as liaison between company and dealer/customers to build relationships that will enhance company position in the marketplace

* Develop proactive service support strategy for post warranty units in the field

* Work closely with sales team to book sales. Help grow top-line and improve bottom-line

* Work closely with Quote Team / Sales Team as needed to facilitate bid success

* Forecast and drive budget control and attainment

* Deliver, train and inspect new vehicles on-site

* Inspect completed repair work

* Diagnose and repair problems and provide failure analysis on a follow-up service report

* Instruct operators and customers with correct operation and maintenance schedules

* Assist service and Parts Coordinators on technical questions on vehicles, components and systems

* Travel to other regions to perform service support as required

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering

* 5-plus years related experience

* Ability to travel at given short notice

* A mechanical skills inventory will be required to determine mechanical aptitude

* Proficient in MS Office and related IT tools

* Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds

* This job requires a significant amount of standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, reaching horizontal, and reaching vertical

* Must have excellent people (relationship building) skills

* Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with customers, dealers and employees
