Job Description

Barnes Group Inc. – Barnes Aerospace, East Granby Division has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Engineering Intern to play an integral role in manufacturing operations during the Fall 2018 semester. The right candidate should be a self-driven and enthusiastic student with junior or senior level status. Core Responsibilities:

* Inspecting work instructions.
* Repair process work instructions
* Tooling design modifications for improved production efficiency
* Tooling design for processing new aircraft components through repair
* Quoting of new repairs
* CAD support
* CNC Programming
* Inspection reports for customer review
* Reviewing OEM technical data revision status
* Uploading documents into business online technical library
* Collection and analysis of production quality data

Required Skills

Qualifications:

* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Research and analytical skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel
* Experience/knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent
* Ability to schedule and organize time and tasks effectively
* Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
* Self-motivated/Self-Starting

Education Requirements:

* High school diploma or GED required
* Currently enrolled in an accredited mechanical or manufacturing engineering program with junior or senior level status

Intended Work Schedule : M-F, 7:30-4:00pm
