Responsibilities

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

The Facilities Maintenance Regional Manager will monitor all preventive maintenance and repairs within their assigned region. The Regional Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance and repairs are done properly and in a timely manner. The Regional Manager will also be responsible for monitoring the Computer based work order system, organize work that is performed by contractors or Facilities Techs and provide his Team with effective feedback on performance. The Regional Manager may, at times, be required to assist with on-call in his/her Region. The Regional Manager may also, at times, be required to assist their Team with repairs. The Regional Manager should be actively involved in the skill development and training of his Team, by providing direction and information that will further their knowledge of facilities maintenance needs.

* Provide friendly service to and maintain positive relationships with all Internal and External Customers.
* Must work to provide a Team atmosphere for all Employees.
* Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our Company.
* Responsible for reviewing maintenance request from Internal Customers.
* Solicit and evaluate bids.
* Prepare and issue execution of contract documents.
* Supervise development of Architectural and Engineering plans and specifications, assuring projects are designed consistent with Southwest Airlines standards for Customer convenience, operational efficiency and cost containment.
* Oversee all aspects of Facilities Maintenance to ensure they are done efficiently and effectively
* Review and give first line of approval for all payment requests from contractors.

May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

* High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum 5-year basic construction/facility repair, passenger boarding bridge, p.c. air, 400 htz, and conveyor experience preferred.
* Must have knowledge of applicable construction and building repair fundamentals, including electrical and mechanical repair gained through trade school courses, training programs, or on-the-job experience.
* Prior management experience with direct reports preferred.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

* Must be able to lift and/or move items 75 pounds or more on a periodic basis.
* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions as necessary.
* Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a periodic basis.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

* Must be able to work well with others as part of a Team.
* Must possess strong leadership skills to direct maximum performance from Employees, outside contractors, and maintain working relations with Internal Customers.
* Must be a Servant Leader
* Must be able to communicate effectively.
* Must possess strong organizational, written communication, and prioritization skills.
* Assist in Departmental Safety Training Program when applicable
* Basic computer skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

* Extensive travel required.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
