Overview
To perform duties related to the maintenance repair and monitoring of physical plant and grounds as directed by the Facilities Manager and Director of the Facilities Maintenance Department.
JOB DUTIES:
ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. The maintenance and upkeep of the plant grounds and equipment.
2. Responsible for inspection and maintenance of fire extinguishers and safety related equipment.
3. Assist in the maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
4. Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on Fire Pumps and Emergency Generators.
5. Assist in basic remodeling and construction projects.
6. Troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
Qualifications
MINIMUM:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of (2) two years in all building maintenance trades. Heavy HVAC experience preferred.
* General custodial experience.
* Must be able to read blueprints.
* Valid Driver’s License.
* Have a complete set of tools.
* Read, write and understand the English language.
* Must be able to interact with a wide variety of personnel in a professional manner.
* Must be a self-starter that can work with minimum supervision
* Must be able to accommodate 24 hour on call departmental rotation schedule.
* Understanding of computer systems as required for entry of work tickets.
* Must be able to perform duties using high reach lifts.
* Basic carpentry skills.
* Knowledge of wood working power equipment.
