The UTAS Engine and Flight Test Group (E&FT) supports engine and flight test activities for key military programs. The team provides on-site and remote support for controls hardware/software system integration for military engines and airframes.

ACTUAL LOCATION : PAX River NAS, Maryland

Primary Responsibilities:

* Properly configure engine control system hardware and software.
* Engine system performance and prognostic health data.
* Document and troubleshoot issues through data analysis and hands-on testing to determine root cause and define corrective action.
* Author Morning stories.
* Pre and post-test briefing support and mission control room data review during testing.
* Test cell and flight line software loads, maintenance built in test initiation, and troubleshooting.
* Support daily meetings for test planning, accomplishments, and issue reviews.
* Cost account management and Earned Value reporting.
* Engine and flight test data successfully generated and delivered to the customer on schedule.
* No engine down time or aircraft on-ground due to special test equipment or engine control system issues.
* Detailed engineering action reports for control system issues.
* Accurate manpower/travel planning and precise budget earned value reporting.

Qualification:
Basic Qualifications:
* Technical background with strong analytical skills.
* Dedication and ability to work independently supporting field activities.
* System knowledge of military or commercial jet engine controls.
* Control Systems hardware/software analysis and electronic/mechanical troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to pass a background check for DoD security clearance.

Education:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering with 7 years of related experience.
* Advanced Degree in Engineering with 3 years related experience.
