F-35 WIPT USRL Technical Engineer. As part of the F-35 Weapons Integration Product Team, this senior engineer delivers technical support for the U.S. Reprogramming Laboratory (USRL) in the Joint Reprogramming Enterprise (JRE). This position is located at Eglin AFB, Florida.
Essential Job Functions:
This senior engineer will ideally possess a systems engineering degree with a strong background in software development and test. Must also be skilled at managing a logistics team.
Provide the USRL team with insight in to F-35 laboratory activities that impact or influence USRL cost, schedule or performance
Observe laboratory tests and demonstrations in support of deliverable acceptance
Provide guidance and input to JRE management on all reprogramming issues, risks and opportunities
Facilitate rapid information collection and transfer between USRL and prime contractor in the absence of direct connectivity
Assist in artifact reviews for USRL mission data (MD) development efforts
Conduct technical oversight of the USRL materiel solution procurement activities
Review contract data deliverables for technical sufficiency
Participate in request-for-proposal development and technical evaluations
Support Government positions in contract negotiations with technical rationale
Provide detailed opportunities and risks for the materiel solution procurement activities.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A Bachelors degree in engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain program security clearances.
Strong interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders and ensure close linkages across the JPO.
Demonstrated experience in reliability, maintainability and life cycle logistics.
Knowledge of requirements, capability and procurement processes.
Experience with Project Management, Cost and Affordability Management.
Must be able to travel as required.
