Executive Planner
AMD Department, Dublin Airport
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Executive Planner in Dublin Airport. The successful applicant will support the planning team working on a range of planning projects. The role will involve all aspects of the planning process from project inception to planning compliance. Daily tasks may include monitoring and assessing third party planning applications, undertaking planning appraisals, preparation of written submissions to Statutory Plans and collation of planning documents to ensure all projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards. This role will report to the Head of Planning.
This role is a 1 year fixed term contract and will be awarded as a personal contract.
Qualifications
* Recognised third level qualification in Town Planning;
* Have at least 3 years experience of planning, after attaining the qualification above;
* Have a good working knowledge of planning policy and legislation;
* Have excellent written and oral communication skills;
* Have the ability to prepare reports and formulate recommendations;
* Pocess a strong attention to detail
* Be willing to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
* Provide strategic advice for safeguarding of airport operations through monitoring, assessment and preparation of planning application submissions
* Prepare written submissions to statutory plans highlighting any interrelationship between proposals and the operation of Cork and Dublin Airport.
* Possess and maintain an up-to-date, excellent knowledge of all planning and relevant environmental legislation and policy to ensure accurate advice is provided to clients.
* To engage with planning bodies as may be required, including through written submissions.
* Providing expert development management advice to internal stakeholders in relation to proposed airport projects.
* To work closely with design and delivery teams on the preparation of planning documentation for airport campus projects.
