Role Purpose

Providing technical support to Flight Data Analyst in ensuring the smooth running of the Flight Data Analysis (FDA) programme which allow applicable reports as part of accident prevention and flight safety programme.

Key Accountability

* Ensuring downloaded flight data is valid prior submission to allow routine analysis which would be reflected in the monthly trend reports.

* Compiling monthly statistical data on suspected hard landing to Engineering & Maintenance Department for review and to liaise with Engineering & Maintenance Department for troubleshooting and corrective action for FDA data (WGL) rate transmission failure.

* Liaising with IT Department with regards to SAFRAN & LATITUDE system, network/server or any IT related issues pertaining FDA and ensure support software & hardware troubleshooting by liaising with vendor.

* Assist in creating and develop new customize events for fleet safety trend enhancement and ensuring the FDA programme is run as agreed to by the FDA Committee documented processes and ensuring the routine analysis of flight data and monthly trend analysis for internal and external customers and compiling monthly fleet reports to prepare FDA reports for management review.

Qualification & Working Experience

Degree in Safety Management System & Risk Management Formal tertiary qualifications in related Safety & Health field or Business Management with minimum 3 years experience with Human Factors and/ or Safety Management System qualification. Tertiary qualifications are preferred.

Skills & Knowledge

* Broad knowledge of the aviation industry, the general principles of aviation safety.

* Broad knowledge on Safety Management System & Human Factors.

* Able to apply intensive technical knowledge and skill in the flight data analysis.

* Understanding of all relevant statutory regulations issued by Malaysia Government or local authority.

Key Challenges

1. Ensuring Flight Data Anlysis(FDA) programme smooth operations with the validation of data within the specified time frame.

2. Ensuring fleet reports is being prepared for management review.

3. Ensuring the deliverable of FDA program for MASwings incident/ accident prevention program.
