We are searching for an Engineering Tech V - Submarine Network Onsite Representative (NOSR) at our Maritime Services location in Norfolk, VA . This position requires a DOD Secret Clearance at the time of hire.

You will demonstrate your success by the following:

*

Providing onboard and TYCOM administrative support, onboard training and monitoring of the SubLAN system.

*

Providing technical support to SubLAN systems, Non-SubLAN client laptops and workstations.

*

Providing training to the fleet’s LAN administrators for maintenance and administration procedures.

*

Conducting periodic assessment of the submarine crew LAN administration capabilities, establish and provide ongoing crew training.

*

Mentoring ships force with system backups, switch configurations, software configurations.

*

Conducting periodic assessments of submarine crew LAN administration capabilities and establish and provide ongoing periodic training to submarine crews.

*

Earning and maintaining appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualifications matrix.

*

Participating in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2.

*

Position may require overtime based on fleet needs (10%).

Submarine SubLAN experience required. Prior Submarine LAN Administrator experience required. Current CISSP or CASP certification required (may be substituted by graduate degree).

*

General Experience: Eight years full-time technical experience in the design, test, and/or repair of mechanical/electrical/electronic systems/equipment.

*

Specialized Experience: Six years full-time engineering experience in the operation, maintenance, installation, test and/or repair of submarine mechanical/electrical and or electronic systems/equipment. Experience in evaluating the material condition of ship systems and implementing corrective actions.

High School Diploma Required. Bachelors or Graduate degree in Cyber Security/Computer Science preferred.

Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 10 years of job-related experience or equivalent.

*

Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.

*

Requires the ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.

*

DOD Secret Clearance required at the time of hire.
