About Us:

We are seeking an Estimator to join our Engineering Team with experience of generating estimating proposals to match the technical requirements of Customer Requirements.

We can teach how to Estimate. What is vital in this role is an Engineering background or understanding.

Job Description
The Estimating Function provides cost assessments across a spectrum of projects, from minor piece part manufacture, to complete specialist aircraft modifications and overhauls.

You will be required to work alongside aircraft engineers to develop cost effective solutions backed up with a comprehensive Basis of Estimate for estimate approval at all levels within the business.

As part of our drive to implement change through the function, we are building up our strong experience in Parametric Estimating techniques to provide industry standard comparative data to support our estimates going forward.

The Successful Candidate
* High Ethical Code to deliver estimates that support the Core Marshall Values.
* A passion to improve and help drive improvement and change across the organisation.
* Good standard of education and the ability to present to various levels of the business.
* Experience within an Engineering Discipline.
* An ability to understand the resource required to support a technical instruction and the demand from supporting functions.
* IT skills including use of Microsoft Excel; Training will be provided but an interest and passion to learn is essential.
* A challenging nature, the desire to question and understand the reasoning behind technical assumptions. The conviction to stand behind the assumptions you make in the generation of cost estimates.
* The ability to think outside the box and make confident estimating assessments based on previous knowledge and experience.

The Ideal Candidate
* Any knowledge or experience of Additive Layer Manufacture or Composites Manufacture and Design is highly desirable in this role.
* Proven experience of delivering complex cost estimates within the Aerospace Industry.
* Experience of using Parametric Toolsets, E.g., Galorath SEER.
* Working practise of 3-Point Estimating, Uncertainty Analysis, risk generation and Monte-Carlo simulation modelling.
* ACostE Level 3 Accredited or above.
