Engineering Summer Worker

Moog Industrial Group has an opportunity for a Summer Engineering Worker in the Quality Control department on 1st shift at our Murphy, North Carolina location.

Here is what you can expect in this role:

* Perform First Article Inspections

* Complete qualification of processes as required by customers

* Assisting Engineers in implementing Continuous Improvement projects

* Researching tooling and machinery

* Producing work instructions, data cards and routings

* Assists in layouts

* Assist with engineering testing

* Assist with QA testing/inspection

* Perform various data collection and recordkeeping (SPC/ETQ Database Management /Maintenance

* Engineering lab work

* Writing tooling requests

* Assisting with Lean events

* Configuration management

* CAD Modeling

Here is what we are interested in:

Minimum Requirements:

* Pursuing a college degree in an Engineering related discipline

* Must be 18 years of age or older

* Proficiency/experience with Microsoft Office Suite

* Good typing skills

* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally

Preferred Requirements:

* Prior work experience with Moog

* Preference given to referrals from internal Moog employees
