We are searching for a dynamic Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to lead an Engineering team in Waco, Texas. This individual will report to the Manager of the Mechanical Engineering Group and will manage/direct the day to day operations of a Mechanical Engineering Team ( approximate group size of 15 )

You will demonstrate success by:

• Design and liaison of aircraft primary and secondary structure, aircraft system upgrades, electrical equipment racks and external antennas using military and commercial design standards, customer specifications and system requirements documents using 3D CAD.

• Managing complex design activities while meeting program objectives within contract cost and schedule requirements.

• Performance of job assignments, manpower estimates, project and engineering status, project bid support, employee training, goals and reviews, and management of overhead budgets.

• Ensuring compliance to company processes relating to mechanical designs and those processes are periodically reviewed for improvement or currency standards.

• Setting the highest ethical standards for self and others.

• Committing to Continuous Improvement initiatives and driving positive change throughout the group.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* BS in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering +7 years of relevant experience with mechanical design (MS in Mechanical, Aeronautical and/or Systems Engineering a plus).

* Must have knowledge of mechanical design principles of aircraft structure and components.

* Must have experience in modifications to aircraft primary and secondary structure.

* Must have experience with electronic equipment and antenna installations.

* Must have strong analytic and communication skills; ability to coach, train, motivate and manage technical personnel.

* Must have sound knowledge of engineering theory, design criteria and complex activities.

* Must have the ability to motivate others; sound effective listening skills; pays attention to details; ability to work under pressure; and ability to meet deadlines.

* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

* Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.

* Must be able to travel as required.
