Position Description

We are seeking a talented and engaged Engineering Intern who wants to develop beyond the classroom. Our Engineering Intern will work with an Environmental Health & Safety subject-matter expert; evaluating equipment and environmental data to develop a Preventive Maintenance Plan for a chemical coating process facility in the Aerospace Industry. The Engineering Intern will review manufacturer service manuals and historical data to generate preventative maintenance tasks while working closely with maintenance technicians, production personnel and outside vendors.
The Engineering Intern documents and establishes a PM schedule for all equipment and the facility. The Engineering Intern position is responsible for insuring the PM plan delivers the highest level of production equipment efficiency through the minimization of down time.
Position Requirements

Intern Description:
1. Creates records for equipment inventory, PM, projects, and reactive work orders.
2. Generate spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
3. Ability to work closely with Manufacturing to collect data regarding new equipment and other projects.
4. Engineer Intern works closely with Production and Maintenance Team Leads to evaluate the preventative maintenance program (task frequency, completion rate, timeliness, performance results etc.)
5. Interpret and apply specifications such as drawings, schematics, etc.
6. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
7. Enter data into shared database for tracking and traceability

Education and Experience:
•In process working toward a Bachelor Degree in Process, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
•High School graduate or equivalent
•Minimum 3.0 GPA
•Ability to follow guidance documents, standard operating procedures and other technical instructions in performance of tasks
•Related course work in process improvement best practices
•Proficient in MS Office
•Ability to stay organized with multiple, prioritized projects
•Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Duration and experience you will gain the following from this internship:
•Paid Internship will run through December 21st 2018
•Scheduled days can correspond with school schedule
