We have an exciting opportunity in our AMO team, to conduct and oversee Quality Assurance funtions, such as investigations, audits, authorisations and Vendor management, deemed necessary in the Engineering business. This position also provides a critical leadership role to assist the business to instil Quality assurance outcomes to affectively prioritise activity based on risk.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting investigations, audits, & risk assessments to identify key deficiencies within the business and facilitate effective corrective & preventative actions. Ensure all non-compliance issues are tracked through to resolution using structured reporting and escalation processes

Reporting to the Manager Quality Assurance - AMO your key responsibilities include:
• Conducting and administering engineering investigations and audits
• Analyse available data to identify positive & negative trends. Prioritise and implement strategies using this data to identify system failures and best practices. Initiate & facilitate business improvements throughout the value chain using this data (I.E. both upstream and downstream of actual error)
• Working closely with other Quality departments to maximise the effectiveness of the audit program and investigations process based on known issues
• Manage the JQAMO authorisations (CAN) process for the MQA to ensure each engineer complies with Part 66 & 145 licence approval requirements.
• Manage the JQAMO vendor approval process through the vendor database and in the company MIS.
• Facilitate changes to the JQAMO Exposition & supporting manuals/documents/forms.
• Oversight currency of all JQ AMO manuals/& forms
• Liaise with other Qantas group airlines and external suppliers (Boeing/Airbus) to share relevant compliance learnings

To be successful in this role you will have;
• A proven record in showing a proactive, error prevention, and continuous improvement mindset
• Extensive knowledge of major technical Investigations, auditing processes within aviation
• Ideally an understanding of Part 66, 145, 147 and 42
• Diploma level qualification in a related discipline
