To coordinate essential data transfer and analysis processes in support of Engineering Planning and Control.
Key Responsibility Areas
- To process the UK CATS actual data from UK time recording and align to MS Access database files for import in to the existing Budget Tool.
- Maintain up to date project tables which relate SAP network activities to budget activities and project codes in the Budget Tool database.
- Maintain an understanding of the Budget Tool and Reports.
- Review SAP HR data and maintain alignment of the Resources section of the Budget Tool (permanent and external workers).
- Monitor SAP data population for Engineering specific data fields and manage SAP data bulk uploads to populate data.
- Monitor SAP for population of Skill and Standard Time Codes.
- To produce reports of SAP live tasks and networks activities for cost centre managers to remind them of work lists and network numbers.
- To produce reports of live SAP networking for cross checking with MS Plans.
- To oversee the operation of Andromeda in extracting UK CATS actual hours data.
- To monitor SAP data population for Engineering data fields and bulk load where necessary.
- To monitor SAP HR data extraction and resource tables in Andromeda ensuring organisational Work and Cost structure is maintained.
- To coordinate the inclusion of work performed as Fixed Price Work Purchase Orders within Andromeda resource models.
- Participate in the Budget collection process by overseeing the operation use of the Andromeda database.
- For projects where the control of SAP networks is not controlled by Engineering , review levels of work loaded to SAP networks by project and cost centre and compare/align to Operative Budgets and external worker resource levels.
- Monitor achievement, service levels and delivery for these projects assisting in producing performance metrics such as EVMS, CPI, SPI and KPIs.
- Review tasks and SAP data integrity in terms of dates, budgets and task status, assist cost centre mangers and advise amendments to programme planners.
- Extract data reports from Enterprise Server PWA and Andromeda to assist the planning process.
- Extract SAP Network Activity data monthly, run analysis & publish Excel reports
- Extract SAP Change Requests (CR) data, analysis & issue monthly status report
- Undertake analysis of Engineering performance for activities from datasets
- Assist in business improvement initiatives through data generation and analysis.
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required
- Educated to HNC, degree or equivalent level.
- Analytical skills, proficiency with MS Office suite application, and ideally familiarly with project/program management software tools.
- Previous knowledge of database application software (e.g. MS Access or Oracle)
- Experience in use of MS Project
- Knowledge of Project Management techniques and Business Support Tools and requirements, with a sound knowledge in EVMS and Risk Management technique.
- Interpersonal skills - have the ability to give guidance and support to others and to provide/obtain information from other areas of the Company.
- The ability to collect, collate, analyse and present complex information clearly and concisely in writing and verbally to audiences comprising of multi-disciplinary groups.
