You will be part of the Product Development Engineering, Aerospace team where it all starts for Bombardier as it sets the stage to take full advantage of its investments and the tremendous growth potential of its new products. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft programs to their successful entry-into-service. Currently, these new products are the all-new CSeries commercial aircraft and the high-performance Global 7000/Global 8000 business jets.

In your role, you will:

- Support commercial negotiations and resolve multiple contentious matters with respect to engineering scope of responsibility by:
- Developing a clear understanding of design evolution and non-compliance to engineering requirements;
- Generating the program’s position with respect to ownership of responsibility;
- As required, negotiating directly and concluding with supplier the allocation of responsibility

- Support accurate drafting of commercial agreements (LOA, contracts, etc.) with respect to definitions and clauses related to engineering obligations
- Improve the company’s/Business Unit’s future position in issuing and negotiating contractual engineering requirements by:
- Collaborating with the Engineering organization issuing the requirements prior to formal release (review, comment, discuss and amend)
- Support contractualization of clear agreements in engineering requirements compliance matrices through coaching or direct negotiation

- Participate in process improvement initiatives with respect to contractualized Engineering requirements

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You possess a Bachelor degree or higher in a related engineering field;
- You have at least 15 years of experience in aerospace engineering;
- You are comfortable with the technical aspects of Engineering as well as Project Management;
- You are familiar BA TRD/GTRD as well as BES, specifically for new product development;
- You are familiar with CATIA v5;
- You have experience in the negotiation and drafting of engineering requirements;
- You are able to work autonomously and as a pivotal member of a multi-disciplinary team;
- You possess business acumen;
- You are able to take quick decisions and provide strategic advice in a stressful environment;
- You are at ease to work in an environment where abstract or technical questions play a significant role in commercial and legal discussions;
- You are comfortable communicating efficiently and effectively with a variety of interlocutors, from engineering technical staff to corporate executives, both inside and outside the company;
- You are available for 10% travel, sometimes with short notice;
- You have strong negotiations skills as well as a superior capacity to convince people.
