Description:Supports the engineering function for a fabrication area or processing laboratory by performing fabrication of prototype test equipment. Evaluates new processes, products, and/or isolates process problems. Implements, collects results, maintains appropriate logs, and provides oral and/or written reports of results. Monitors process controls, materials, and supplies. May be required to ensure correct functioning and identify any discrepancies. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May advise operators and inform engineers regarding processes, procedures, and equipment.
Basic Requirements:
Ability to fabricate electrical test equipment designs from a blueprint of the layout, schematic, bill of material, and engineering practices manual as guidelines.
3 years minimum experience in a prototype fabrication environment for electrical test equipment.
1 year of experience may be in other fabrication environments including cable and harness, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design product.
Ability to communicate issues with the design and or the process requirements to management and or design engineers
Prior Certification in solder and harness capability to MIL STD requirements
Desired Skills:
Experience with work tracking data base systems for job input
Experience with customer interface to help to develop prototype designs
MFCE&T
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience with test equipment processes of documentation; materials procurement; and fabrication.
• Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
• Experience in oral and written communication to present and to motivate
Desired Skills:
Experience with work tracking data base systems for job input
Experience with customer interface to help to develop prototype designs
