We are looking for top-performing Sr Design engineer to join our elite engineering team in Kanata, Ontario, who innovate and create the hardware electronics that Aerospace runs on. We are seeking someone who will work closely with our newly formed Platform Center of Excellence and Connectivity and Services HW team, and join our elite, engineering team, and brings the right experience designing a mix of analog and processor/ high speed digital electronic circuit cards for Connectivity and Services Satellite Communications products. Design may include CPU/Memory interface, and communications (Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI) protocols.

This technical design position will work with our cross functional engineering talent in Kanata and help drive the team that create the world’s most advanced SATCOM designs for our Services & Connectivity business.

YOU MUST HAVE

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering discipline
* Minimum 8 years electrical hardware engineering experience

WE VALUE

* Master’s degrees in a relevant engineering discipline (i.e. Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering) preferred
* Experience performing and leading electrical hardware PBA level detailed design, design verification, and qualification.
* Strong sense of personal accountability and drive to succeed. Owns hardware development assignments, including system trades, setting and negotiating requirements, end to end documentation, scheduling, design and analysis, build, qualification, production, and test
* Experience to ensure our designs meet the industry standards of EMI/EMC of RTCA DO-160, Boeing D6, Airbus ABD, MIL-STD 461, MIL STD-810.
* Proficiency with xDX Designer, Hyperlynx, Mathcad, MS Excel, and LTSpice with demonstrated experience designing, simulating and analyzing and demonstrating design performance to requirements S
* Strong team working skills with a proven ability to effectively interact and collaborate with other engineering disciplines with excellent attention to detail. Partners to reach effective solutions to complex electrical engineering problems on a broad, diverse portfolio of designs for our products
and systems
* Understands the lead designers responsibly of effective communication.
* Clearly and concisely convey subtle or complex messages to a variety of audiences, both written and verbal. Speaks geek, customer, and business.
* Someone who can interface with, teach, and set requirements with various system and product design teams around our global company
* Capability to solve complex design problems to tight schedules with minimal supervision
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding start-up-like atmosphere
* Ability to adapt to constantly changing work assignments and consistently making timely decisions and balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness in an ambiguous environment
