Project Engineering is the art of organizing technical chaos into precise technical direction with a clear vision for your engineering team to focus on and execute.

As a Project Engineer, you are given technical authority from the Vice President of Engineering and the Program Chief Engineer over your respective program. With this authority comes great responsibility. Project Engineering is a not an easy job and requires technical expertise to guide decision making in the face of uncertainty. At the same time, Project Engineering is rewarding, in that you are empowered to guide the program from a notional idea at the start to a delivered platform capable of executing its intended mission.

Our Program Office is unique in that we employee a true AGILE Quick Reaction Capability. Our typical depot level modification program is less than a year in length and is almost always deployed upon delivery by operational units within the Department of Defense. We are also required to develop new capabilities within a very short time period, often less than a month, for immediately installation and employment by operational units in the theatre of interest. You will develop and integrate cutting edge technology in ways that they were not intended to be utilized. This will require you to put original thought into its development. You will be challenged. You will not be bored at work

This particular Project Engineering position will be responsible for a fleet of 3+ Medium Size Turboprops or 2+ Medium Size Business Jets. These assets will contain a mixture of modular mission systems. As the PE for the aircraft, you will be the technical authority for this set of aircraft. You will oversee the engineering development of the mission systems and all technical aspect of the aircraft.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field is required. An advanced technical degree is desired. A minimum of seven (7) years of engineering experience in a related field to the position is required.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for various engineering disciplines. Experience with as many of the following engineering disciplines is desired:

· Project Engineering

· Systems Engineering

· Aeronautical Engineering (Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, Stress, Mass Properties, Aerodynamics, etc.)

· EMI/EMC Engineering

· Software Engineering

· Test Engineering

Experience with the following processes are required:

· Bidding and Proposal

· Program Planning, Guidance, and Execution

· Customer Interaction and Communication

· Executive Level Interaction and Communication

· Engineering Execution

Experience with the following are systems are required:

· Aircraft (Small and Medium Size Turboprops)

· Airframe

· Aircraft Systems

· Radio Systems (VHF, UHF, HF, etc.)

· ISR Mission Systems

· EO/IR Sensors

· Self-Protect Systems

· Communications Systems (Voice and Data)(LOS and BLOS)

· Mission Management Systems (Computers with specialized software)

· Local Area Networks

· Mission System Software

· Video and Video Streaming (Analog and Digital)

Position requires an active Secret clearance or higher within 5 years of most recent investigation and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI, which requires US Citizenship.
