The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible as the field services engineering team lead. In this capacity responsibilities include mechanical design and integration for commercial aircraft system upgrades, primary and secondary structure modifications, interior monument modifications and aircraft maintenance facilitation.

You will demonstrate success by:

• Design and liaison of aircraft primary and secondary structure utilizing military and commercial design standards, customer specifications and system requirements documents utilizing 3 dimensional CAD.

• Provide liaison to production and manufacturing for interpretation of engineering design/drawings.

• Conducting engineering drawing preparation and release.

• Facilitating completion/interior STC related maintenance programs.

• Allocating tasking to team members.

• Manpower planning and forecasting.

• Generating bids for customer requested change orders.

• Documenting and reviewing designs with peers, management, and customers.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* BS in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering + 7 years relevant experience in mechanical design.

* Must have experience with the use of 3D CAD programs to create solid models and 2D detail, assembly, and installation drawings. Experience with CREO (Pro/engineer) preferred.

* Must have knowledge of mechanical design principles for aircraft structure and components.

* Must have strong analytic and communication skills; ability to coach, train, motivate and manage technical personnel.

* Must have familiarity with aircraft maintenance publications (IPC, AMM, etc.).

* Must have sound knowledge of engineering theory, design criteria and complex activities.

* Must have the ability to motivate others; sound effective listening skills; pays attention to details; ability to work under pressure; and ability to meet deadlines.

* Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.

* Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.

* Must be able to travel abroad for extended durations as required.
